Hi My name is Wesley Stanton, I am the owner of Sierra Madre Landscape Co. located in the beautiful hills of Sierra Madre. We have been in business since 1998. Our company can take a rough and unkept property that is full of weeds with broken hardscapes and transform it into a work of art. We live in a place with the greatest climate in the country and many of us spend much of our lives outdoors. Sierra Madre Landscape makes the outdoors as beautiful and comfortable as the indoors. Member of the Building Trades Assoc. Sierra Madre Landscape now offers the finest Landscape design services available. We use only the highest quality materials available and the best Landscape craftsmen in the industry so your projects are done right the first time. Our landscape crew is fully licensed, insured and speak fluent English. Completely covered under Workers comp, Liability and commercial auto insurance. We are dedicated to honesty, integrity and reliability.
With water restrictions here to stay and getting stricter, maybe it’s time to take another look at the plants in our yard. Tough plants are required for these tough times. These heat- and drought-tolerant varieties include trees, shrubs, groundcovers, perennials, annuals and even some fruiting plants. Some are native, some are not and some can survive on natural rainfall once established. Granted, in periods of extended drought like we experience, the plants will not look as lush as during normal rainfall periods and production of flowers and fruit will be diminished.
However, with liberal use of mulch, and infrequent but deep irrigation, homeowners should be able to create and sustain quality landscapes using these plants. This would entail significantly changing the way landscapes are designed in California. Besides more extensive use of mulch, it would include creating more tree canopy and reduce the amount of more water intensive plants, such as turf and annual flowers. Instead, use of drought tolerant ground covers, flowering perennials, grass’ s and shrubs would be emphasized. All this along with material such as pavers, decomposed granite and boulders will not only increase the look of your yard but will save you BIG $$$ on maintenance and water.

Beautifully designed and installed bullnose steps, Low voltage light columns and pavers are a great way to transform any yard into a work of art.
In O-BC the Romans had over 80,000 miles of roads paved using segmental pavers form England to Syria. Most of which you can still walk today. The paver interlocking technology has been around for over 5000 years. It wasn’t until 1973 that interlocking pavers began to be machined in North America. When interlocking pavers are properly installed they can offer a lifetime of beauty and service.
Interlocking pavers have great traction control, abrasion resistant, they are segmental so they are permeable and crack resistant. Load distribution is much greater with interlocking pavers because they are a flexible pavement system. Ridged pavements such as concrete crack due to pin point load distribution. Interlocking pavers have a load distribution that is spread out into the prepared road base. Score lines need to be strategically & decoratively placed into concrete to give concrete a place to crack and not noticed. If proper excavation depth, road base compaction & even sand bed are installed properly, interlocking pavers are a great, beautiful and durable way to go!
